So, it looks like the wife and I may have jobs in Parachute, Co. Can anybody give me any info about the area? We've googled anything and everything we can about the place, but I'd like to hear what any monkeys have to say.

I'd recommend living in Grand Junction or Glenwood Springs and commuting to Parachute. It's tiny. Nuff said.

Not really a lot happening in Parachute..tons of oil field folks commute from either GJ or Rifle ....nothing really there except BLM land and oil field..sorry but there ain't much happening there.

Whadya mean nothing happening there? There is an awesome middle school!

Seriously, we took the jobs. The school was too good to pass up. I guess I'll just have to drive a bit to get to trails. I did see some motos on the BLM land by Battlement Mesa. That must mean there are some kinds of trails, right?
