I'm most curious to understand how it manages chain slap in the little cog during bumpy downhill situations.
Had the chance to check out the groupo at the bike shop yesterday. Some impressions:
- It is freakishly light.
-Pricewise, it's only a bit more expensive than a complete XTR or X0 set.
-The chain really likes to stick to the chainring
-That and the new rear mech with the type-2 clutch and the parallelogram design seem pretty solid.
For WMAC: the new rear mech separates the horizontal and vertical planes of movement. The normal derailleurs move diagonally, and any vertical shock induces not only chain slap but a horizontal component in the movement.
Oh and the cassette is a thing of beauty. That is my only concern here...the duration of the cassette. It goes at 430$ a pop here.
