So it would seem that I am stuck with a Truavative Power Spline bottom bracket as my only choice as my cranks are splined to their specifics and no one elses. SWMBO will not permit the purchase of a new crankset to spite the bottom bracket choice.

Just buy a new powerspline BB from Jenson for $17 and save up for new cranks. Good way to drop some serious weight as most bikes come spec'd with 2 particularly heavy boat anchors instead of cranks.
