Last I heard it was only about 1/2 dozen buildings that were evacuated and they gave an all clear after about 30-45min.

As far as not notifying the president right away...I don't fault them for that. They had their duties to perform at the moment that didn't include tracking down Pres Bush and inform him at that very moment what was going on. What was Mr Bush to do give them permission? They had to clear possible targets and make sure the people were safe.
As far as the flying duo.....take their licenses...for a while. I guess they got off lucky....they could have been shot down. What a mess that would have been.
It was a big deal here in Fredneck because two busloads of Frederick County kids were visiting as part of a White House reading program field trip and had to be evacuated in a virtual panic. Additionally, those numbnut pilots were escorted by the fighter planes to our municipal airport where they were forced to land and promptly arrested.
