SOPA itself. I'm fine with the current blackout of Wikipedia if it helps to get the message across and the politicians shelve it for good.

if by "blackout" you mean, "sending well-funded minions to give hamburgler knob gobbles to members of congress", then yeah, it should happen

but this looks to have all the political impact of any other "occupy" movement.

so no.

Maybe for Fox News viewers.

Today shows a glimpse of a world with no knowledge. So does the Fox News website, which is running normally.

Nice.

Dear Jimmydean,

Thank you for contacting me to share your views concerning copyright infringement and counterfeiting legislation, the Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act (PIPA) and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA).

I have heard from tens of thousands of Oregonians on this issue, and very much appreciate the outpouring of input on this issue. After carefully analyzing the legislation, which aims to provide new authority for U.S. officials to shut down foreign websites that offer counterfeit products, I decided last week to oppose SOPA and PIPA. Please click the image below to view a video explanation of my opposition to SOPA and PIPA.

I hope you will continue to send your observations and thoughts my way.

All my best,

Jeffrey A. Merkley
United States Senator
