Spanish dirt is rocky as hell. Hella BMX tracks though, and most are in great shape. Spanish girls are HOT but they hate American guys, unless you can actually speak Spanish to them. One of the bike riders introduced me to his girl friend, her sister, and her friend. Then we polished off a handle of rum, drove all over town to the bars, and got wild till the morning... typical Spanish activity. Wait, that sounds kinda like Parkfield, but with a pixie race instead of a bar...

SoI can just find a 16" bike for the pixie race? What is the course like?
That's 16" wheels, not 16" bike. And it needs a coaster brake. Although I hate coaster brakes, especially when I've been drinking and can't figure out why the bike suddenly stops every time I get on it (I get more hurt saturday night than I do the entire trip).

Pixie race is open to all comers, course is subject to change without notice, riders/teams subject to change without notice, rules subject to change without notice, lap count subject to change without notice...

Actually, the only constants are fun, carnage and fun.

The three craziest bike thingies I've seen at Parkfield

1) The guy who jumped the truck about 3 or 4 years ago.
2) Sanjay clearing the triple on the pixie bike about 2 or 3 years ago.
3) Richard something jumping the bushes on the g-out.

No underage drinking will be permitted.

are you going to be there andrew? i've been working on pixie tailwhips. sanjay might have some competition this year
I was set on going the other week, but now I'm not so sure. I should make a decision on my Parkfield plans by this weekend.

Tailwhips? Damn...but can you do one after a beer or six?

How's life? The OC isn't bad for me, but it's sure as hell not SLO (esp the riding).

Beavers, how are you going to fit on a pixie? Can you morph into a keebler elf at times?
Custom Ti framed pixie:

12" wheels
Coaster brake
60mm crankarms
23.5" TT
12.5" BB
38" inseam
24" bar height

Either that or he's gonna attach clipless cleats to his kneepads and pedal that way.

can i get some directions from someone please?
Drive to the middle of nowhere. Turn left.
Drive to the middle of the middle of nowhere. Turn right.
Drive down a really loooong straight road, dodging crazed squirrels and cows.
Road turns windy, continue dodging squirrels and cows. Turn Right.
Continue through the town of Parkfield (Yes, they have a library. Yes, it's portable).
Turn left, through the gate, at the pile of tires and signs that say "Bike Race" (aka V6 ranch).
Continue down the dirt road, dodging cows, untill you find a bunch of bike racers having the time of their lives.

Or just check: http://www.cpslowheelmen.org/Parkfield_Classic/parkfield.html

But those directions aren't much better.

And, make sure you fill up with gas before you leave the 101 or I-5.
Cell phones don't work.
Bring toilet paper.
I'M IN :thumb:

Also to bring:
- lots of water (you're on your own)
- advil
- food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (very important)
- a light b/c it's dark as f***
- proper camping stuff because it's cold as f*** at night
- profos

Who is driving from The OC? I'll be leaving for Parkfield Friday afternoon and stopping in SLO for a couple hours. I expect to arrive at Parkfield around midnight. If you think you might have some problems with the directions, shoot me a pm and I'll give you my number.

But you have to admit, it's one sweet rally course at night.

Tru dat!

Especially following Beavers down the G-out. The moonlight was perfect to higlight the dust cloud enough so that I couldn't see anything.

I remember using the yellow caution tape as an indicator of where the trail was since I couldn't see the ground. Then I hit a log and fell.

Probably one of the funnest things I've done on a bike.

Besides.. well.. that other thing.
