Damn wasn't meant in a bad way.

I like the NE (Maine, Mass, Conn, VT) in the fall. That was one of my favorite trips when I was kid.

I guess I've just been used to moving around.

nah, i didn't take it that way (and i fully expected a "CA" rejoinder from somone); my dad was a teacher at a local CC and never moved from the region. i even went to college nearby (~100 miles or so).

had i been a bit more adventurous getting out of college, i would have struck out on my own in a different part of the country, but jobs were scarce in '88/'89 so i lived at home and tried to save some money while looking for a job; the student loans were looming.
