What do you get when you take a selection of the best new bikes on the market, mix them with some of the most knowledgable MTB shredders, and place them at the site of the US Gravity Nationals? The gravity section of Bike's Bible of Bike Tests, of course!

Just a few hours away from our base of operations in Brevard, North Carolina, is Beech Mountain, which, lucky for us, happened to have hosted the U.S. Gravity National Championships just weeks before. We spent two days riding the mountain’s Expert/Pro and Beginner/Sport downhill courses. Though the mountain isn’t all that steep, it offered plenty of challenging terrain including some deceptively burly and long rock gardens. Additionally, heavy rains during the National Championships just couple of weeks before, left the course riddled with massive dried ruts to make the course even more demanding. –Ryan LaBar

The article/reviews were fine. Nothing to write home about, but I almost never think reviews are, aside from the occasional nugget from steve jones, and some online publications like whatever the hell kidwoo writes for and that ian guy in socal.
