I don't get the love for 1917. Didn't like the script. The movie was visually amazing but the story is a typical Dad Movie War Movie from Spielberg. All war movies he produces are the same stories where the war is kinda bad but also a great place to be a hero. Shaving Ryans Private, War Horse, Band of Brothers and other porn movies from him are not that different to 1917.

This year for me is:
1. Luce
2. Parasite
3. Corpus Christi - Polish Oscar Contender I think many monkeys would really appreciate. Really funny but also true in a way monkeys would like. A juvie kid pretends to be a priest.

From upcoming movies:
1. Zola - Do you remember that Twitter story about strippers? It's a movie now
2. Promising young woman. A diss on all the "but I'm a nice guy" dickheads.

i'm a sucker for lovecraft.....need to get some audiobooks...
There was an aweseome Lovecraft Game made by Bethesda. Buggy as hell but it was REALLY REALLY good. Made like 10-15 years ago. Look it up. Better than all the movies based on him.

Dolittle had nice animal CGI but a terrible performance from RDJ and those two annoying kid leads.

Worth the $0 I paid to see it, though.

I aim to show up 20 min after nominal start time. That still usually nets me one preview and the AMC or Dolby intro scenes, then the actual movie.

Watched Onward tonight. Terrible previews but Pixar and good RT score.

It was good. Some cheese but some touching moments. I shed a tear or two near the end.

The Hunt - well that was a weird one...

Didn't truly know the plot other than from the trailer and was loosely aware that mango had taken offense to it.
