Nam I am
so Today Knuckles , my Self and Baboon met at Plumbers landing to ride the trails around the Blackstone canal.

we rode for a little over 2 hours and 9.6 miles after Knuck and babs had ahad enough , I decided to do a little more exploring. I wound up doing another 10.4 miles !! got majorly lost but found some awesome trails I knew where there , just didn't know where , I do now!
I also found my Self on the wrong side of a Gun club, and could here shots and Buck shot landing near by ! I made a bee line to get the hell out there.

any way here is a Map of what we did !

The red was done by us as a group the green was me solo. the green loop in the middle on the left side is where I really got lost ,but great trialis , must learn them !

I'll join you for a ride there sometime after I move. The trailhead looks like it's only 4-5 miles from where I'm going to be living. Is there almost 20 miles of trails there, or did you ride some stuff twice?

yes we rode some stuff twice ( and 3 times ) but there was a lot of trail in those 2 large loops ( especially the green loop ) that was unexplored. and yes you are going to have some great stuff near by!! Douglas , Hodges , Purgatory , Rayburn , etc

Good ride today, Splat and Knuck! Having not ridden for two months (see my signature), I was kind of hurting. Glad I bailed when I did. I could not have handled 10 more miles. :dead:

My pics. I need more Knuck pics. I only got a couple.

Splat crossing that canal bridge (that canal is pretty cool)

Splat going nose first off a little rock. :D

Knuck riding a long. Actually, he was riding a wheelie here, but I was slow with the camera.

Splat, smiling as always.

Here's a spot where the trails just ends, thanks to a new housing development. You can see the trail at the bottom of the pic.

Here's Splat right before he did this 20 foot LAUNCH. I was too quick on teh camera! :p

Splat on the skinny crossing.

SPLAT. He did this three times so i could get a decent picture, and I still didn't get a good one.

Splat playing in the gravel pits.

Last one, Knuck on a bridge, heading back to the car.

Man I think I would have spend a half hour just playing on that, assuming there's a decent runout.

cool something besides nam! :p Always nice to find new places to explore. Though the GPS thing is totally cheatin in my book.;)
On that trail where the trees are too tight for handlebars try poppin a wheelie and turning the handlebars in the wheelie, while rolling inbetween em. it's a fun low speed technical trick. There's a similiar section on some trails here and that works real good for me. :)

That Goat Hill Lock one is sweet!

Yah, we have some tight trails here where you're blasting along and you can see the two trees ahead that the singletrack cuts through and you just kind of close your eyes and hope you fit. :)

your pictures made me feel the need to go out and rediscover those trails. I went for a 2 1/2 hour ride alone, it was great. I haven't been trail riding alot lately. I used to ride that whole area everyday. pm me if you want to head out there sometime.

I like you analogies :thumb:

Funny thing , is I putthe GPS in My camel back and don't really look at it. even when I got my self lost. I didn't even look at it. I just kept riding.

Because after all getting lost is part of the fun ! ( which is what I think your aluding too. )
I like to carry the GPS so I can down load it to computer and Make some maps , and help me determine how to connect riding areas .
