The little ridges in the pedal body also seems to help with the packing issue - which is why my wife changed from her OneUp's to the WahWah's that I already had. It doesn't seem to happen as badly.
Unsolicited update: I now have 12 good rides done on the Blizzard and it's truly a great bike. We got quite amazing conditions so far this season and I think Ilike fatbiking even more than I initially though I would. I find the experience is very close to mountain biking, but at the same time different enough to keep things interesting. I can see myself looking forward to the upcoming fatbike season next fall.
I am quite happy the C30 did not come with a dropper. I bought a OneUp v3 180mm and it is quite amazing.
Only downside on the bike: The Deore 12sp and/or Sunrace cassette is quite bad. The drivetrain is brand new and the hanger is straight, but the shifting is quite poor. It just doesn't seem possible to adjust the derailleur so that the shifting is good on the full cassette range.
One possible explanation is that I can't quite adjust the B-screw where it should be, as the derailleur bottoms-out before I can reach the optimal B-screw adjustment. It's not that far off, so I'm not sure the poor shifting is fully due to this B-Screw adjustment. I will also try changing the cable housing. It is brand new, but maybe it is kinked somewhere from the factory installation and it impacts the shifting performance. For sure, I will not tolerate such poor shifting for a long time. I will need to be able to fix it or it will have to go. I have an old GX 12sp drivetrain ready to be installed, so the Deore days on this bike may be numbered.
