Shit, I'm thinking of the SSR, you're right, the SS was cool, but man once you add an R to the end of it, things get weird.Uh... SS is not a convertible. It's an epic 400hp, 4dr sleeper.
GeoThere's something more ugly than them but I can't think of the name...
only if it has a dixie horn
Someone had one at a show we raced at a few weeks ago. It had a blower.Uh... SS is not a convertible. It's an epic 400hp, 4dr sleeper.
but it looks more like a butt plugI mean, it is kinda a Supra.
There are fascia lots for like $2500 and wheels are cheap that largely fix that.but it looks more like a butt plug
In 1998 this is what people thought cars would look like in 2022.oops, sc430:
If "self-important mid-level manager with no kids and a company lease" was a car.
Is that a Cavalier? A buddy in HS had one of those enormous POS.
A dude I went to boot camp with had a Z24vert! His dad owned a dealership and his grad present was a red Z24 that he had a framed picture of.Is that a Cavalier? A buddy in HS had one of those enormous POS.
Huge POS. I'm at the point in my life where I would probably drive one in the summer if it was less than $1,000 total investment and a manual shiftIs that a Cavalier? A buddy in HS had one of those enormous POS.
Go big or go home.
Round boy is round. Then there's this
Supposedly a chopped corvette chassis, don't know about the solstice, but it's real bad in the autoX races I've been to. It looks like a miata...but it doesn't go like one.Round boy is round.
I prefer the Saturn Sky version, I always thought that they weren't too bad looking. This one has been dressed up a bit, but still.
Bad meaning bad or bad meaning good?Supposedly a chopped corvette chassis, don't know about the solstice, but it's real bad in the autoX races I've been to. It looks like a miata...but it doesn't go like one.
Bad meaning bad. Maybe better if it was a stick, but the auto trans is bad for sure.Bad meaning bad or bad meaning good?
We had some good performing ones in NWR-SCCA back in the day. Blame the driver.Supposedly a chopped corvette chassis, don't know about the solstice, but it's real bad in the autoX races I've been to. It looks like a miata...but it doesn't go like one.
The Sky and Solstice were hamstrung from the start, even before bankruptcy, because of their stupid, useless trunk.I always wondered if those Saturn/Pontiac's would hold a decent value after the brands were killed off, turning into some sort of modern "classic" for middle aged white men like @jonKranked to have their midlife crisis with.
But it's not like "old" 2 seater sports cars like MG's, Triumph's and other unreliable junk are perfect either. When all you want is something to go for a drive on a Sunday afternoon reliability would "probably" place them above the old junk. The Sky and Solstice were hamstrung from the start, even before bankruptcy, because of their stupid, useless trunk.

yeah, in a world where the Miata didn't exist and wasn't hampered by such idiocyBut it's not like "old" 2 seater sports cars like MG's, Triumph's and other unreliable junk are perfect either. The Red Line Sky wasn't bad with the manual. I test drove one and thought it would be fun. Never cared for the Solstice.Round boy is round.

There was one dude who would bring his Crossfire SRT6 out. I don't think it classed well. Then there was the Chrysler cross-fire...built on the SLK chassis. That one is also the suck during my AutoX.
