Also needs to be raised a few inches to look rugged for sitting outside the coffee shop at a weekend.

It does have adjustable suspension… And a sensible sized engine.
So does the GT3 RS, but its in no way a sensible road car. GT3 on the other hand, yes. Some of these being purported as “street cars” is just fantasy, its in name only, they meet the regulatory requirements…but don’t fool yourself.

It fulfills the requirements. It's not a Kia Soul, but still.
I’m having a laugh. That’s as far from a street car as you can get. It’s like taking a Mclaren F1 GT on there and being surprised that it’s fast as shit. I’ve been watching some YouTubes lately of teslas on the nurburgring and its just constant bitching about how shitty the cars are and how the record setting car was “in no way stock”. An 800hp engine and no interior whatsoever is pretty far from a streetcar though, not going to lie

saw a bunch of chodes in colorful supercars on GGCR today. GT3 RS, C8, three Lamborghinis iirc. led by a Cayenne chaperone from the rental company.

anyway, the dude ahead of me in a GMC 1 ton dually with a 10' flatbed felt it was his sworn duty to tailgate the last Lambo dude throughout all the twisties. and sure enough, he did. smelled like brake pad at the end but he did it.

:D

This thread got me wondering about twin steer trucks, I don't see many anymore and wondered if they'd run them on road trains.
Seem a few do run twin steer.
Since America is the land of bigger is better I thought rednecks would be demanding to drive road trains over there, but it only really seems to be Australia.
Maybe it's coz of our pretty average rail network.

US passenger rail sucks but our cargo rail is still used a lot.

Some states have exceptions that allow for trucks higher than the national 80k GVWR limit without a special oversize/overweight permit. Michigan and Washington immediately come to mind, at 164k GVWR on 11 axles (!) and 105.5k on at least 7, I think.

Meanwhile here in CO we’re at 80k but a swath of states from TX to WY including us iirc allows over-length trailers where CO’s 57’ 4” limit is actually the lowest of the bunch. I’ve seen a Frito-Lay 57’ trailer a time or two.

We also allow for some highway only longer combination trucks, just not to Outback levels.

Dont know of its still the thing, but Nevada allowed triple trailers when I was a kid.
