Confirming what we already know, EV batteries are lasting longer than predicted:

What about the cars? Do their target clientele treat them like disposable cell phones?

Honest question, no troll.

It's stuff like this that gets me thinking. It's listed as a 6 speed but I'm pretty sure it's a 5. Crazy low miles, so it could be a steal.

Somehow, the "Eco" light comes on while doing 95-100mph in a 4Runner on open the open highway with a bike on the back, like I'm doing the environment and whales a favor

If the ECO light is based on a wide-band O2 sensor, is it possible that you are working the motor so hard that the injectors can’t keep up and the motor is starting to run lean?

Regardless, probably neither environmentally friendly nor good for the motor really…

That's pretty much impossible on any stock engine. A turbo engine with a tune, sure, injectors may not be able to provide enough ccs of flow and may be leaning out during throttle efforts, rather than dumping excess fuel for cooling like stock does.

Ok, but having no idea what he’s got under the hood, it is possible. Improbable, but possible…

If this would be available in Europe, I would severly be tempted to go electric.

Judging from the specs, it blows the ID Buzz so much out of the water that airspace controllers will detect it on their radar screens.

This is what they were collecting $25,000 deposit for back in 2022 based on a render and video where a drone came out of it to video you while you drove… no price and delivery in 2026. Hard pass.
And it looks like a BYD with some painted carboard bits on it.
The wheels look interesting, don't think they'd survive our roads, but not many Euro wheels do.
EDIT- I think Polestar is Chinese.

Hertz bought a bunch of Tesla Model 3s for its rental fleet and quickly realized that Tesla depreciation would be extra bad at scale. In an aggressive effort to sell off its remaining Tesla inventory, the rental company is sending extra cheap buyout options to rental customers. If you like your rental, Hertz will sell it to you for an extra cheap good deal. One Hertz customer took to Reddit to show off a screenshot of the deal he got directly from Hertz, a 2023 Tesla Model 3 with 30,000 miles on the odometer for $17,913.
