I didnt get to see any debate last nite, but from what I hear, both Kerry and Edwards are opposed to Gay Marriage, however, they're also opposed to a constitutional ammendment to deny it.

In my opinion, this is just a shuffle to so that they can stay seperate on yet another issue from GWB, but if someone could enlighten me, that'd be great, cause i just cant seem to come to any other conclusion.

They are saying its an issue for the States and the Feds should keep out of it, and they want to contradict Bush.

Dem's are gonna try to have it both ways if they can, for example oppose the concept (to gain the vote of the majority) yet support the right to marry (to gain the vote of their fringe).

Perhaps the Dems don't think an issue like this is so important that they want to fvck with The Constitution of the United States of America.

Or, maybe they just want to avoid alienating potential voters. That, and the fact that they would never actually be able to get an amendment passed. Do you guys know what it actually takes to get something into the constitution?
