Pumped for Jack and Richie, shocked at Charlie Murray, definitely one to watch, or to add to the handful of racers capable of winning.

So glad to see Jacques Moir on the top of the podium. He is gonna take back his true French nationality soon, by the way! :phone:

His bike check is on PB: relatively short bike with a tall front end and aluminium hoops. He almost excuse himself, maybe because he goes against the grain and has been briefed about it by his sponsors...?

First video is a long race vlog by Jack but it's pretty good. Also shows him chatting with Jesse and Richie between stages.

Second one is him testing the spectral and strive and explaining in detail why he chose the latter.

I do hope we see him do some World Cup DH races this year.

2 seconds between Rude and Moir in La Tuile, bonkers!

Wonder if we'll see Shark Attack in a skin suit for round 2? 2 seconds over 20 minutes seems like he's a flappy pair of shorts away from it.
65 points between dick jr and moir in the overall right now. mr flat pedals win medals isn't even in the top 30.

A DM stem would have meant a bigger upper crown. They shaved as much material as they could from the crowns to make the weight palatable when compared to the Totem offspring.

A downside I can think of is no warranty replacement every year because of a creaking CSU

Coil front and rear, that's impressive.

Equally impressive is that Orange is still around.

What year is it? A purple fork on an Orange with a non direct mount stem. Could be 1997, could be 2021, how would anybody know?

Honestly would like to see DC enduro forks become the norm, something like the Gnarvana with a stout 180-190mm DC for up front would be a zesty unit.

Sounds like ALN was leading the women's until a massive smash on S5. Dropped all the way down to 26th or something. Bummer for her

According to the Insta stories, the helicopter caused some chaos blowing course tape across the track for Moir. Also, apparently someone strung up an electric fence across the track at some point which caught Iago Garay? Wild stuff.

Less than a second between Harriet Harnden and Melanie Pugin after 33 minutes of racing.

Youngsters Jamie Edmondson and Jackson Godstone racing both dh world cups and enduro.

goldstone is gonna be one to watch. he's already been to Fest, and i seem to recall reading somewhere he can't wait until he's old enough to enter Rampage.

Watched the recap video last night. Amazing both Moir and Rude had several misadventures in their runs but somehow stayed so damn close.

Also, its just freakish watching how damn efficient Mr Hill is. Hopefully the tracks get a little bit more to his liking soon and we can see more from him.

Bit frustrating both events this year have included significant mid-stage climbs. They've always been a part of the format but the duration and intensity is creeping up and it detracts a bit IMO. Not something I want to see become a deciding factor personally.

If the series overall was based on aggregate time, Moir would be up by a whopping 25 seconds after an hour and 47 minutes of racing.
I've always thought there should be some sort of award or something for the lowest overall time for an entire season of racing. Not in the sense that everybody deserves a trophy, but being consistently fast every single race is pretty damn impressive, even if you weren't always the fastest at every single one of them. That said, being separated by a mere 25 seconds after 1:47 is pretty rediculous.

Do you remember the videos when he was just a little kid in Whistler? I feel old. Same with Andrew Shandro's kid.

I think Mr. Hill lacks a bit of fitness this year. About his efficiency, Nigel Page told a story (in some interview or podcast) wherein he was watching a section of track at an EWS race and Rude and Maes were nearly breaking their handlebars cranking out of it to get back up to speed and then Hill just came flowing through without even needing to pedal.

Its almost like the powers that be changed the tracks big climbs long stages to mix up? Maybe the EWS promoters were tired of him winning?
Stages that long with climbs make fitness too much of a deciding factor. I can understand a few top guys beating him but to be that far back in the pack?
I started watching some of the helmet cams of the stages on youtube, I really enjoy watching, not even for the racing, more to check out the trails they are riding. Its like watching trail porn.

I don't wanna go all tinfoil hat but there's been some changes for sure, a few riders have commented on it on social media. They've got to stop the course decision makers using e-bikes for starters.

Absolutely. The EWS coverage has grown my "must-skid" trails list like crazy.
