Jackson Hole.
Incredible schools.
Schools play a huge part of it, people will moved to a area just for better schools too. That also helps drive up the costs. All based on zip code and your surroundings. Never been there, but heard its a pretty amazing place.

It's JACKSON WYOMING brian. The longstanding tax haven for oil baron homes. One of the oldest mansion farms for the donor class to look at big pretty mountains from their 3 story bay windows. It's where dick cheney and the owner of patagonia simultaneously exist right next to each other because that's where wealth hides. It has fuck all to do with schools and local jobs. The "jobs" are international markets, and then shit service industry stuff. It's the only place that's more aspen than aspen.
It's the place I think of when I get fed up with rich inheritance assholes in tahoe by telling myself "hey at least it's not jackson"

I'm sure it was before all the rich fucks ruined it. :D

Fun fact: part of grand teton national park used to be literally a rockefeller backyard parcel.

There's a pretty badass network of trails there off of teton pass. If you have the means I highly recommend a visit.

In the cleavage of the Tetons
Yeah, we are here until kiddo goes off to college, then moving back to Teton Valley, where I truly consider myself more of a local.

That being said, we bought the Jackson house for $360k, second best investment we ever made.

Sweet! We bought our first house in 1997 for $275k & sold in 2006 for $800k. We're on the 6 year plan, need to get our daughter through 1.5 years of high school & 4 years of college. I want out of CA & my wife is on the fence with that one.
Taxes and cost of living here is killing us. Price of gas a few miles from my house, just disgusting!

Profits half a million by sitting there

Thinks Obamacare made reasonable health insurance unobtainable in a state that literally gives it to anyone, even after the fact
Our insurance went up an additional $500 a month thanks to Obamacare, while living in one of the most expensive places to live in the US. Just saying.

So did my significant other's because defense contractor and shitty insurance company. That was your insurance company, not the ACA.

So she got on the exchange. Which you can do and add a spouse. It's even easier with dependents.

I know it's easier to run around with your hair on fire screaming obama care but the people's socialist republic of CA has a thing too.
