Watchin' you. Writing it all down.

Stepping up the chase for online advertising dollars, AOL will give away e-mail accounts and software now available only to its paying customers in a strategy shift likely to accelerate the decline in its core Internet access business.
AOL will still offer its dial-up accounts at $26 a month for unlimited use, but the company no longer will aggressively market the service. That’s likely to mean the end of promotional CDs and an unspecified number of job cuts in marketing and customer service.
Can AOL survive this?

I used to get about one CD a week from AOL, but I haven't gotten any in a long time, probably close to a year. I don't miss them :D

I have 13,000 of those cd's saved up in a crate that I'm going to drive down to AOL headquarters and burn in a pile on the lobby.

I'm going to use my cd's to build a giant sun reflector/death ray and use it to burn up the moon and send it crashing into the earth unless the world governments give me one million dollars.

without a doubt because of AOL's key clients are:
1. fvcking retards
2. lazy idiots
3. old people

The typical AOL client won't bother looking for a new service... "oh, it's too much work", "oh, I don't want to lose my email address", "oh, I'm gonna die soon, so whatever".

i was pretty confident aol had died a while ago....
who the hell pays $26 for dialup????

i remember, like 4 years ago, a cheapass HS classmate of mine who went to school in florida had it. he said it was free.
he said everytime he tried to cancel, he was offered 2-3 extra free months... by the time i visited him, he had had free aol for over a year...
even back then, i wondered how they managed to make money.

Actually you should just be throwing your clementines at things. They are just the perfect size and shape for chucking. My neighbors get really confused when they find them in their back yards.

I'd be tempted to try it, but I've been informed that someone will ruin the garbage disposal, that I worked very hard on installing, if I do.
One of these days I'll buy an old microwave at a yard sale for $5 and have some fun with it outside, where I can't hurt anything.
