So Brian do you work for Karpiel now? I see you e-mail is @karpiel.com. It is great to see a person that believes in a product so passionately.

Why are so many of you still on Karpiel bashing? Yes we know that Jan f'ed up. But he isn't involved with the company so much now. And look who is the US Rep and distributor. Brian is a guy you can trust. If I had the money hell yeah I'd buy a Karpiel now. I can't wait to see what the X-1 is.

Great distributors are fantastic people. But they can't force a bad manufacturer to actually make or do anything, and it sucks when you as a customer end up running between a manufacturer and the distributor...each blaming the other in the end for your lack of product or service.

So yeah, Brian's facing an uphill battle with this...but I guarantee that if he starts putting a good product in people's hands reliably, he'll be a success. Unfortunately, that relies quite a bit on the people actually making the frames with their own hands, as well as their ability to get the stuff they need from manufacturers and subcontrators and whatnot.

MikeD has a point, a good honest rep can only do so much. But I really came on here to post that this whole thread is hilarious. Reading posts from dropmachine/johnp/ian are both funny and bring back memories for sure

ps- the guy telling johnp to go F himself is hilarious, seeing as john was stating his honest opinion after owning the damn bike forever
