As far as pointless tests go, 1 million pounds is still roughly double the dry weight of a 747, which itself is more than double the weight of the space shuttle. The f150 wins the pointless towing test by a mile, and virtually all metrics used by manufacturers to measure cars these days are irrelevant to an average consumer, why not make them the most irrelevant?

I’m with Rideit on this one, if it’s got an okay range when towing a small travel trailer and the price isn’t astronomical I’d love one, I’m also probably 3-4 years from needed a new truck, so timeline wise this thing is looking like a potential winner.
But the dude pulled a 575,000 lb train with his teeth.

In the cleavage of the Tetons
That’s one of the most depressing things I have read in years. Makes me just want to concern myself if my yeti is better with a 140 or 130 fork, because that I can control.
My poor kiddo.

Riding the baggage carousel.
I'm pretty sure that global warming/climate change is humanities Great Filter. We will be our own undoing.
We have not yet reached the Great Filter. This could be any number of things. High on the list of possibilities IMHO is anthropogenic climate change.

Sounds like my progression, kinda. :D

So cliff notes,

Should I trade my 4Runner for a Prius?
No, just plan for hell and high water in the next few decades.

The next 'Cold Fusion', or does this have legs?
I can't tell.

Sounds way too good to be true, there is new battery tech coming, but not 1500 mile range, and one has to consider the implications of storing that much energy in a car. It would literally have the potential to take out half a city block if it went all at once...

In hell. Welcome!
The next 'Cold Fusion', or does this have legs?
I can't tell.

Ok, so a fuel cell that needs to be replaced (not recharged) every 1500 miles for 5,000 quid.

But it is GREAT BRITISH INNOVATION (went there for the article, stayed for the comments)

Not hybrid, full EV! Some day I’d love to convert my 100 with a nice perky EV powertrain and 100 kWh of Tesla batteries socked away.

My sister in law (who lives downstairs) has got herself a model 3. Pretty sweet, although just the base model. My wife drives it a lot

We just got our first bit of snow. Pretty wet and sloppy, then froze solid overnight.

The door handles were not designed with freezing rain in mind...

The door flew open on the morning drop off today. It gave my 5 yo a thrill.

What strange Canadian non-nuclear family living arrangement is this? Is this the "mormon" kind of sister?
