“A new report on the health impacts of indoor pollution from gas stoves in the EU has found the lifespan of people cooking on gas stoves is reduced by two years on average.
most homes and apartments don't have real or adequate hoods over their stoves. you need to have one that moves at least 1000 cfm and is vented out the roof not those little fans that vent out the top of the hood into the room after going through a grease filter. My hood is 1200 cfm and goes out through the roof

our winter bill with our old crappy HVAC never exceeded $200 and that was for gas and electric in mid winter
The question is really, would it change at all?

It isn't like most people cook in a kitchen five hours a day, seven days a week.

Is my gas oven as bad as the burns?

Do dogs really hate cats?

I don't know.

Without researching it some of the claims seem a bit dubious (Like fasted civillian aircraft since the Concord).
But interesting never the less.

cool. Boom is doing similar fast-plane stuff, in 1:1 scale form now working up to a supersonic flight by year's end. they're based out of Centennial down the road from me, testing in Mojave.

Un-flued gas heaters are still pretty popular in Australia.

BBQ all of the things outdoors! I don't use smokers though, I'd feel too guilty, not everybody wants to smell what you are cooking for 12hrs every weekend.

The first thing I did when I moved into my house was put in a hood vent. 8" pipes all the baby! I can sear a ribeye on a cast iron skillet heated to a gozillion degrees and the smoke alarm won't go off :homer:
