Marijuana may help stave off Alzheimer’s
Active ingredient in pot may help preserve brain function

Good news for aging hippies: smoking pot may stave off Alzheimer’s disease.

New research shows that the active ingredient in marijuana may prevent the progression of the disease by preserving levels of an important neurotransmitter that allows the brain to function.

Researchers at the Scripps Research Institute in California found that marijuana’s active ingredient, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, can prevent the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from breaking down more effectively than commercially marketed drugs.

At least you'll be able to remember why the black helicopters are chasing you and what the voices in your head said last night.

well, that is good news. but i never noticed any real memory problems, at best i would just have problems accosiating and linking events into a meaningful expression that can be recalled later. but i notice this is only when i go from none to start every day, and even if not even worse is when i stop, a week can go by and it only feels like a 2 or 3 days all mashed together with no start or beginning. and everyone know weed is only harmful for the lungs becuase we smoke it, and there are two ways around that, but they are not as easy.

seeds and stems never hurt anyone they just taste bad, alucan however are just gross, a metal/wood pipe costs 10 bucks, rollies cost a buck, there is teally no reason. **** just carve an apple if you're in a fix, they work great.

im'ma gon'na light a bowl, good morning everyone.

Weed only hinders short-term memory; long-term memory remains golden. A curious sidebar is that stoned short-term memory lapses can be made less poignant by also being similarly stoned when recall of said short-term memories is required. The only reason the DEA/FDA has not permitted MORE medicinal benefits to be discovered is because gov't policy takes precedence over public health.

And they have not figured out how to make a big enough profit off of it.

More money in fighting drugs than legalizing them....

what ****ing proof, i never suggested any ****ing proof?

alexis DH, heh, i guess the definition i laid down does sound a lot like 'memory' but i meant for like the first few days, and its like llkoolkeg said its only hard to remember cause i wasn't as high as i was when i learned it. well im not really sure cause we all have crystal clear day and sometime we are just off, so its hard to factor that in as well. oh well. do what you need to do.
