OK, folks, let's help this fellow find things to whine about!

Where the hell's midge when we need him?

J
I completely feel for him. For someone as laid back as Skookum it takes a lot to get him to whine.

I went and visited him last weekend and one of the first things he says to me is at least I can walk.....mind you I'm in a walking cast because I broke my ankle last weekend ;)

Well do to overwhelming demand from the PNW Skookies (people that worship Skookum)

Redline bicycles is making a bike in Sir Skookums name sake.

www.redlinebicycles.com

You read it right. REDLINE will be introducing two new Urban Assault / Freeride mountain bikes for '05.

The Skookum and the Muckamuck are the names and both units feature the infamous Redline quality and affordability. The Muckamuck is the heavy duty 14mm axled chromo thrasher w/ pegs.
Skookum, while touched by the jester is unhappy with the brand of bicycles that is to honor his name. He was holding/hoping that Huffy would take up the plight of the PNW Skookies and deleiver their own magic to MTBing with an appropiately named bike worthy of Skookum's name.

Broken bones suck, especially in your lower appendages. I once broke my ankle while riding in New Hampshire, and the next day I had to fly back to California on Southwest Airlines. I changed planes 4 times in 3000 miles, and I was on crutches. Hobbling from one end of an airport to another is not fun. You never realize how useful walking is until you can't do it.

You know i was watchin a Paul Lynde biography last night. i used to think he was real funny when i was kid, but i never knew what "gay" was when i was a kid. So it kind of struck me watching about the dude's life considering i had never stopped to consider the obvious fact to me now, that he was gay.

So for those small surreal quirky moments in life i defer all this unnescessary attention off of me towards a true comic genious.

Well I attempted a two foot drop to flat on my hartail with the short travel and bit it big. I asked myself the what would Skookum do? So I got back on the bike and did it again only this time I bit it worse and drew blood. Engh... I am going back to work full time on Monday, its totally top secret in case I suck, get fired and need plausible deniability. I hope I don't suck though because I really want a new bikey but I don't want to have to shack up with Spiderman to get one. :blah:

Skookum has ridden with so many people it would be interesting to get a count. My guess would put it somewhere in the 5000 range.

What was this thread about anyway?

There are several disturbing events going on here.

All this talk of a sex lubes remind me of another forum I visit.

Midge is getting ANOTHER "real" job, this being his second in 2004.

What ever, heal faster Skookum, you should be fine by now anyways.

So Mr. Skookum, how is your leg doing? I am interisted because I did the same to my leg a couple of weeks after you. Not dancing, I was playing soccer with a rock while crashing on my bike. I broke both bones and needed surgery to be put back together. Just like you I was extremely fortunate that some very cool folks helped me down the hill. I had to ride back down too.

I am healing a couple of weeks behind you. What you are going through now I will likely see in a week or two. My name is Mike by the way, nice to meet you. :thumb:

First week extreme pain followed by figuring out how to do everything by yourself.
Second week nagging throbbing pain subsides followed by sharp spiking pain once in a while.
Third week hardly any pain.
Just trying to keep from getting too bored, i'm pretty lucky i broke my left leg and my car is automatic so i've been grabbin the crutches and hitting the movies and the beach. Stayin away from accidents like stairs or trying to carry alot of stuff. Have freinds do chores still like laundry and have em pick up groceries and stuff. Still don't sleep all that well. The leg is lookin pretty weak i can't wait til i get the go ahead to jump back on a trainer. One more week of boredom to go then i look forward to being able to walk and ride light to get back into shape.

Over there somewhere.
No offers for a leg transfer yet. Since it is the left leg, I'm out, mine has been too busted up in the past to be considered as a replacement. So no donations yet I see.
