today was the 1st Inaugural Super Spreader Virus Shuttle Lunch, all to help @Pesqueeb break in his new bike which make no mistake he got before IRB got his fancy new ride. Present for shenanigans were @Full Trucker @SkaredShtles the aforementioned 'Squeeb and your truly. Shuttled a local favorite, 2 trails which give you about what? 1,000' descent? (Edit: 1,800'ish) Ish? Fun was had by all, even with a still sore old shoulder from my last adventure in gravity.

our favorite sociopath airline mechanic, 'squeeb, with his new ride which he definitely got before Babs' new bike

Great to get (some of) the FR CO monkeys together if even briefly.
this is not how I pictured you guys... looks like a good time!
Le rock slab on Angmar. Opted out of the second (bigger) one, as it looked like there was a wheel destroying rock in the g-out. Rode around it, down an equally steep dirt gully only to discover it would have been fine. Wasnt about to hike back up the wall though...

This picture doesn't depict the weather accurately. The lift closed because of nearby lightning and it was pissing rain. Sketch...ate shit 5 minutes later doing something dumb. :D
mmmmmm Bromont. That 77 was one of my favourite trails there...

I rode the lifts with my boy for the first time this past weekend. It was a hit. I think he likes it. We did five laps of 'Porter' to 'Growler'.

Man, this makes me so happy. Looking forward to stuff like this, assuming/hoping one or both of my boys are into it.

Back home in Alaska?

Those trails look nice. I rode around White Mountain area a while ago, and I agree with what you said. I wrote off Show Low/Payson in my mind but perhaps I need to revisit the area sometime.

I'd take it you are feeling better with new medication :thumb:
Payson Highline was definitely fun, especially the descent down Horton Springs. Try to do it when there aren't a lot of hikers out, but it's worthy. Other parts of Highline didn't have much traffic.

Yep, back, still riding on dirt...for now.

WTB Vigilante 2.5 light casing/high grip is fucking awesome on wet/slick/off-camber roots and rocks. Especially with greasy leaves.

Had to look that one up.
their "light" casing is 1100+g?
(Not knocking, I ride heavy tires)
29x2.5

Didn't weigh it. For the conditions out here, I'm quite pleased.

Out by you I might stick with a DHRII/Magic Mary/DHF.

Slimy roots and rocks with gobs of wet leaves atop? It was fucking amazing.

Been trying to figure out what's having sweat by the bucket this season. Even less Beer, Whiskey and Wine than last year - mostly water day and nite. Then it came to me.

Yall know how it goes...

The ONE time I decide to ride without any tools, something comes loose on the bike and sounded like a cracked frame. Ugh. Fun mellow ride in a circle and back to the car though. :-)

What do you have in the rear? I find the new 2.3 DHR2 DD underwhelming.
Heh. That's what is there at the moment. Like it well enough. I like the Bontrager SE3 much of the time, and the DHRII - to the happy medium may end up being a Bontrager SE4 once my current stock is needing replacement. Have used it (the XR4) before and liked it, but moved on due to durability issues - which the SE version seems like it would solve for me.
