The sensor is on my bike. Last night was -20, but I ended and saved that ride. This morning, at "camp", it was -31F, went to -34 a little after and was -30s for a few hours, before slowly climbing up, over 6 or so hours to low single digits.

Since the sensor is remote on my downtube...I have no idea what the fuck my bike is thinking. The temps are supposed to be min/max for the ride. Gotta be some kind of fluke.
The high temp was from in camp and you snuggling up to your bike last night in the tent - Just admit it. :D

Not biking, but on a trail I bike often. Played hooky with the boy this afternoon and skiied to here:

this place is so cool:

it was a winter wonderland out there. required some pond-skipping to get there. it was my boys first time on this route. he liked it...
I've posted a few times from the ruins of the Carbide Wilson buildings... A buddy of mine found this historical photo of it. I find this sort of thing really cool.

Decided it was a good idea to ride down a bank with 2ft of unpacked powder on it?
Tried that on a steep as hell shortcut type trail before Christmas. Type of thing where in the summer you just drag the back tire down.

It was an odd experience going down it in the snow deep enough that it stopped you without using any brakes.

And then experienced that dreaded thing of having snow compacted brakes which no longer function, on the next corner. @Jozz knows.

I didn't get in on the registration for this race, so I rode my rig out there in -20, set up my chair, had a beer, and waited for the racers, then I took pictures as they came by.

Nice day to be outside. Little one is getting good on skates! So nice to have a rink on virtually every corner.

I've probably asked you before, so apologies, what size tyre are you running at the back of your Wozo? I've pondering something bigger than the stock 4.0".
Schwalbe Jumbo Jim 4.8" though on my 65mm inner width rims, it comes out to about 4.25"

If buying again, I'd go for something with a bit more bite/paddle action. Not really a big deal here, as the snow tends fowards more wet and icy, but they don't do so well when things are dry and fluffy.

Damn, I didn't think 4.8's would squeeze in there, nice going!

The stock 26" 4.0" DHR's measure at 100mm on the 80mm rims, with about a finger width either side. So I was thinking 4.6 would likely be too much of a squeeze even with moving the dropouts back slightly.

I'd just like something to better match the support from the 4.8" DHF they put on the front.

Well, as noted - it measures up considerably narrower than 4.8. Sliders all the way back gives about a pinky width clearance on the seatstays, a bit less at the chainstays. Not sure how it would be on your wider rim, or a tire with larger sideknobs. Works well enough for here. Next tire will be something a bit chunkier, though the full fat setup doesn't get much mileage. so it may be a while. Spends most of the time with the plus tire wheels.

Too much powder on the trails, so we hiked up a ski hill that doesn't have night skiing. Runs were semi groomed, but haven't been skiied on since before Christmas.

Fun sketch ride down.. another ski resort is in the background, flooding the sky.

Dropped some psi before starting and then had to let more out, basically rode the second half of tonight's ride on a flat rear tire. Fuck that is tough, fresh loose soft powder snow sucks.

Dunno who this was, but I watched them struggle half way across this pond, fall over and then do the retreat of shame. Meanwhile a few meters over was a halfway decent packed path to ride on. :D

Toronto shining brightly...
