Hot as balls. No dh after work, went on a mild road ride to the big side of the lake, for some beer and swimming.

Do we really have to work tomorrow? :(

rode some dh at sugar mtn with the kiddo and a few buddies. did mostly greens and blues with him but the blues are techy and fun. hit the blacks once but need to get to know some of the step downs better for sure. 4 hours and almost 22 miles/10k verts with a small beer break in the middle.

woods were greasy from yesterdays tstorms. good times overall. stoked to see the two new trails they're building for the races in a few weeks.

@jackalope that rock slab you took the pic by is fun, eh?

me following him into a little side hip, then our buddy derek hitting it

yo @boostindoubles check the shirt

Rode Saturday. Locked my keys in my car, so we had to backtrack 2 hours so I could get my backup keys, then 2 more hours back to the trailhead. Not the best day ever. Pissed rain for the most part. Wet slippery roots. That's my buddy Roger. He does crazy 100+ mi road rides all the time.

Mulligan on the dinner date tonight, after last Mondays hurricane roll through.

Excellent. First time eating a restaurant or a patio since Bromont last fall.

The humidity is hovering at a solid 80%. Supposed to go up to 95% tonight. Fack. But no fires here..

I just bought a bike a really didn't need and plan on making a few day trips before the season ends. Not sure exactly when that will be yet though as my wife unfortunately got hurt at Beech a couple weeks ago and is still on the mend. Once I know the date(s) I'll let you know in case you'd like me to pick you up on the way. Happy to take your son too in case he wants to ride as well. Perhaps @Salami would like to come too?

greens and blues
The blues were plenty for me (for now). I really liked the green. It's not hard but I found it to be a lot of fun.

Fucking humidity. 85F / 70% but I am sure it was moar humid in the woods.
I think it runs about 5-10% higher under our respective tree canopies. OTOH, it's in the shade.

Was just gross and slimy the last couple rides I've had.

How was the dirt? Thing here are schizophrenic. A lot of moon dust from the heat but the occasional muddy/greasy sniper root from fog condensing.

Good to see your bike matches your avatar.
It was mostly dry but still holding up great. Some water crossings and a little mud. Brief moments of intense sun that would be accompanied by strong odors of pine.

The bike turned out better than expected considering the COVID vacuum.

Gross and slimy is a good way to put it.

The only relief in this area is one tiny trail system has a section in the bottom of the ravine. Even with the creek it is surprisingly cooler and seems less humid. Too bad it is only a couple kms of trail, then you get to climb out and back into the sweat-lodge.
