A video instead. Finally cleared one of the steepest sections on a local trail. Only use rear brake and hold on. That shoot starts at 1:40. I with the video did the steepness justice, you can kind of tell by the angle of the trees, but the x2 previous attempts after washing out my front end I slid for 10-15ft. Also first video on my new GoPro. Enjoy!

There seems to be some weird brown stuff on the ground you're riding on, not sure what that is.

Otherwise, pointy elbows 1/10, would not bang.

Not a ride ( :( ), but went for a hike today. Found some rocks for @jdcamb . Sun came out at the perfect time.

Called the Keyhole Trail, it goes through this little gap in the wall:

New trail out at Hawes, lots of good tech, some stuff like the steep slabs of Whistler, but without the ability to control your direction.

Inspired by you other video posters, the downhill parts of my ride yesterday. Some of my favourite trials at the moment. Not super gnar but really fun and they have their little moments. It is silent. My kid said ‘No one wants to hear you panting, dad.’

Carparts at 0:25, Ikigai at 4:40, Serendipity at 11:05.

For some reason the video is slightly slower than real life, my time for Ikigai and Serendipity this day was 8:34 IRL (Strava segment), but it takes 9:15 in the video. Not sure why. Camera is no go-pro though, so let’s blame that.

Was a good day throwing dirt.
Building a couple new trail sections.
Filling in some bomb holes in some natural rollers leading into a little booter / drop

newtrail.jpg

Small booter falling away into a hillside landing into a left then probably a double before meeting up with the trail running across the bottom.

Dang, your dirt still looks perfect. We're doing the yo-yo of snow-rain-snow thing up here.

More rocks from today on one of the Bruce side trails. Aptly named Splitrock Narrows. Yep, can confirm, the rock is split and narrow. Don't fall in...

Some interesting fossils in this ancient rock. I assume this was at the bottom of an ocean at some point?
