For the last six moths or so I have had little energy, I've had more sick days than you can poke a stick at and haven't thought about riding at all.
I started wearing my anti snore mouthguard a couple of weeks back and I've slowly stopped waking up a bunch of times through the night, at the moment I am getting six hours of straight sleep which is good.
Got on the bike for the first time in about five months today, didn't feel as crap as I expected but my lungs aren't there.

This forest has a tiny bit more snow than anywhere else.

Supposed to be warm all week it sounds like. I don't have studded tires, so looks like I'll probably be hiking or something on Friday. :(

We also got fat today for the first time this winter after driving an hour away to find it. @Full Trucker you and your awesome wife were commented on and missed during the fun.

Our bikes came with 4.0 FBR and 4.8FBF Minions, we just put 4.6" Dunderbeists on the rear as that's the most our bikes have room for. Placebo effect definitely says they're a little better traction than I was getting with the 4.0 FBR.

Wasn't going to ride today but I had a couple of beers then the power went off, luckily I charged my lights a couple of weeks ago.
Ended up having to do about 15 quick stops because of spiders across the trail, cheeky bastards know all the braking spots and the technical bits, I hit one about 50ft after the pic.
Still got no power so I'll have to drink the beers.

Call it artistic blur and your are good. :happydance:
Haha, nah, a shit pic is a shit pic.
I enjoy telling photographers that editing is cheating, my brother hates it, plus I shoot exclusively in jpeg.
I bought my DSLR because it shot natural/unremarkable looking images, 11/10 saturation can EAD.
It would seem I have had some beers, rabble rablle rabble.

High five! Same here, a good pic is a good pic straight out of the camera. I am not against editing, but it should be minor. Also not a big fan of cropping, get your composition right in the first place. I shoot RAW + JPEG to different cards to have the ability to edit, because why not?

Hiked :( Too little snow round here.

Tried biking here last year, but man it's nonstop flat tech. And bugs. All the bugs.

Found the Canadian meth shack.

Took my little one out for his first mtb ride on my childhood trails. This forest belongs to the local university and town. The trails are exactly 30s by bike from my parents’ house. The ride was a resounding success! The little guy rode so well and loved every minute of it. He seems to be a natural climber, cresting all the hills without issue. His first time on gears required no explanation. What a great kid.

Did a training ride. Pretty horrid conditions, freezing rain the entire time. Decided to push across a 4-5 mile swamp, hike-a-bike punching through a hard rain crust. Spent about 7 hours out there. The culvert is on the Iditarod Historic Trail, the trail used to climb to and go across the road. This area of the IHT goes through a few roads before you get to the area where there are no more roads.

Yes, he is. You can spot prototype Conti tires, golden DRTs, Endura team kit and a very nice and humble Andreas Kolb there.

Wife really wanted one of them, but a rid egg was easier and cheaper to get :)
Friend of mine in Canucklestan got one. Sounds like it was a pretty painful process. Lots of delays and little to no communication. His frame is significantly heavier than a budget AL frame. He does however like how it rides.

Grandpa: Want to come watch the rose bowl parade?
Kid: What’s that?
Grandpa: It’s a parade with flowers and floats and music, and people ride on the floats…
Kid: No thanks, I just want to ride.

Ride we did!

This year is supposed to be the classic route, instead of last year's modified route to avoid villages. I see it as kind of iconic to reach McGrath, so that's my goal. Hoping body will hold up.

Yeew, five from five.
I'm pretty lucky with how close the trails are to home, it's half a mile to the cycleway then as little as 2miles to the bush depending on which trail you ride in.
I haven't ridden a huge amount of the singletrack over the last few days as I am so fat and unfit but I haven't seen a single person in there, it's great!
