In this deluge? Wowzy.
My goal was to ride all 5 days this week (and ride all of my bikes at least once), and there was no way I was giving up 4 days in.

Fortunately I decided to try exploring some trails at the end of my street on the hardtail today, and actually got a pretty decent break in the weather while I was out. Was far enough out I requested the wife come pick me up in my Jeep as 1/2 stroke pedaling down route 40 to limp back home in the rain was less than ideal.

Later a stick pulled my helmet shell off the mips things, seems the helmet is cracked at the mips Mounts.
I'm going back to a traditional helmet next, as long as I don't get one with six wings and heaps of 90deg angles I should survive without it.

I had actually not planned to ride but my riding buddy call and it turned out the trails had thawed and were in really good shape. I also succeeded getting just the right amount of gear on so I was not to warm or cold. Not a fast day but solid riding for a mid winter.

At the end of the ride I saw some young people that had attempted to leave the beach but one GQ Patrol decided that it would rather have a rear wheel sticking 2ft out the side of the car with axle attached, hahaha!
