My little ride along P&S camera has a scratch on the lens, the cover no longer retracts or opens properly. Time for a new one. been using little Canon models for a long time. They last me 2-3 years. Cheap, easy, conveniant. Way less painful to drop or break one of those on a ride vs. a phone.

Anyway. Hot and humid this morning. Rode an hour and a half before hitting the "fuckit, got stuff to do at home" button.

The sun magically came out at 3pm, after it dumped rain all day. We had hero dirt and it didn't start dumping rain again until the moment we got back to the cars. Sweet.

Can confirm: @Westy is not an algorithm and a real actual person. Also blazingly fast on a hardtail! Loved how my tires hooked up today and how suspension sucked up braking bumps. The ohlins isnt the best at everything and seems to hate sharp edged rocks somewhat, but here, today, it was spectacular.

Fuckin' rabble rabble rabble.
From four rear hubs I have not had one that doesn't skip, Shimano, Hadley, Novatec and now Qvist. Time for another, 'I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.' email.

Well today's ride started out with a wall of rain and thunder.

The trails were destroyed with mud holes, possibly related to the Canadian enduro series racing here on Saturday.

But good times were had. Did bail out though, the roots were like glass and the rocks like riding on grease. Definitely need to come back here when it's dry for some full sends.

This steep section was easy, but I wasn't expecting the turn at the bottom to be greasy mud. :brows:

This is a hiking trail....but I feel like it should be a biking trail. :brows:

sat here for a few minutes yesterday to bask in the quiet of the forest. until the skeeters came for me. this is one of my favourite spots around here. there's nothing really special about it, other than it's seems so quiet and disconnected from everything and everywhere...

I was under the impression that early Vespers had issues, but the original have always been solid?
Yeah okay, I just remember reading about them slipping a fair bit, but it was a couple of years back.
It's not a design that interests me, they rely on precision and cleanliness, that's not really bike world stuff.

But at least they are heavy!
Almost a dollar a gram too.

Dtswiss have been amazing for me and the last 20 years. Not a skip, minimal maintenance. Easy to get on with.
