Same. I used to change tires years ago… now I just run big tires year round. Our summers have been so rainy in the last few years that I put the knobiest, tackiest tire I can find.

Where is that I wanna go ride there
These trails start on the east edge of Laramie WY and climb into the hills for miles!!Where is that I wanna go ride there
Went further east for the gnar in Burlington. Limon is played out nowadays.Limon?
That is quite a thing! Congrats! Biggest day I’ve done in elevation is probably half of that! Is that about 6hrs in the saddle?
That was 9 hours of riding, about an hour pausing to snack, take photos, wardrobe changes and another hour solving rear wheel mechanicals. I was having to really baby my rear wheel, otherwise the ride time would have been a bit less and I'd have saved the mechanical hour. That is quite a thing! Congrats! Fuck yes buddy.
Thanks for sharing....Last week's snow in the high country was too soon for my tastes -- the first snow is ALWAYS TOO SOON but November abides some years.
But coincidentally I had a road trip to visit my eldest at the tail end of her fall break (not sure how she aged while I stay the same age in my mind but I digress...) and deliver some very important items that didn't fit on the plane (i.e. a 3' punched tin cactus/night light that's older than she is and her pasta maker...)
Anywho lemons -> lemonade...
I'd been hankering to check out the riding in Spokangelis which is conveniently located halfway to Reed College and a scant 5.5 hours from BZN.
It was 42 at the TH @ 1:30, so I bundled up with every bit of cycling clothes I brought and thankfully started with a climb so it didn't take long to warm up.
Beacon Hills has 15-20 miles of spaghetti trails, and I could've used a local guide -- got 2.5 hours in nonetheless a mix of tree lined singletrack, the occasional double-track roads/satellite access, swoopy bermy goodness and tons of rollers, jumps, and natural features.
Did I mention the rocks -- this was the lone mobile bong shed stop for the day:

I'm not in the Northern Rockies any more... rock rollers around every corner

A proper "work" chair for JDCamb

This was actually the cheater line, there were 3-5' drops off the back side...

The singletrack was pretty sweet too

Tons of cra-cray big drops around every corner -- not my bag but would be cool to see someone else do them...

More danger WIll Robinson jumps (looking back/uphill)

I covered "both" sides, but still have a lot more to explore.
I only saw 3 bikers, a doe / her fawn and some poop until I got to most popular access point (next to the folf course, DJ park and such which was just after swoopy, bermy Rabid Rabbit downhill:

I'd like to explore more of the trails on the popular side tomorrow, if I can hang with the 37 freedumb units at 9:00 AM
Until then I'm stuffing my face with cold beer and decent for price/chain fish burrito with two HOT sauces before checking out the hotel hot tub.

Great lighting for photos. Imagine that might be a challenge to ride through.

Hero dirt is so good.Is that hero dirt? because that looks like hero dirt.
