the pads rattle in this new set. The ones I installed on my Sight are completely silent.

More seriously, what pads? Actually now you say it I remember the grey sludge from the Shimano pads. What were they called now? Like Weatherstop or something… It’s not that but I can’t quite remember.
Yeah Koolstops were it for a while, but the I remember the Shimano grey ones for Vs were better when they came out, especially in the wet.
The last set of rim brakes I had on an mtb were Magura HS33s with red pads.
It's a penguin removing the dust from a towel, obviosly.
EDIT- I bought some Koolstop inserts a few weeks ago after getting angry at my old man for throwing out his re-usable bodies.
