Didn't get to ride today. Our local IMBA chapter hosted a trail love day in collaboration with the local BLM field office*,
We have to provide 200 hours of volunteer time spent on the particular trail we worked on today to be eligible for some state grant we applied for last year. 22 people showed up to help, which is pretty good for our rural town. It was a productive day.
*I'm not a member of IMBA - both my buddy and I refuse to fork over $39 a year for a lobbying group that stabs us in the back, but we kinda get included in our chapter by default since we're the main proactive trail builders in the area and we're good friends with our BLM director who rides a SS hardtail.

Training ride for the race in AZ at the end of the month today. Dial-in-the-bike day as well. I do like the handlebar, finally enough width. Somehow my dropper cable is too short (from before) and I can't raise the seat enough. Xpedo weight weenie pedals aren't working, the retention sucks. Going to try new cleats, but I got plenty of big S pedals, which are stupid-reliable. Non-boost rear wheel working outstanding with spacers in boost-frame. (fuck you boost). Did something like 6K vertical going up and down the goddamn mountain roads at the south end of town. Put a new chain on and fixed the cable length on the dropper. Looking ready to go for race season.
