Well, last week we cleaned-up "Whiskey Island", removing all of the alcohol for public health, and because the trail will be falling back into the swamp shortly. Still was able to make it out today, but the days are numbered. Now it's "Social-Distancing Island". After a few sips of Whiskey, I got a PR on the next trail...so all that training has paid off.

Finally got back on the mtb with a freshly serviced dropper and what a difference that made. It was really a perfect riding day. Nice and cool, sunny, not dusty but still dry and no mosquitos deal with. It really felt like the good old days and I felt fast (most likely I was slow). I still ride my GT Sensor which I am sure is outdated from a geo perspective but its really not steep here at all so I have a feeling that not super steep HA is rather perfect. Plus no new bike to get used to.

And this is what I looked like more or less as I had just climbed the steepest part of the trail for the second time of the day.

@jstuhlman I had a stout ready for post ride deliciousness!

You look about as Danish as I had imagined. Glad you got out!

I tick all the boxes, tallish, blonde and blue eye besides being strikingly handsome of course :-)

From yesterday with Sweden out in the way distance across the water. This is after the steeps climb of the ride which is followed by some good old fashioned down hill with berms, ruts, multiple lines, rocks and loose dirt.

Been doing a lot of riding with the kids in our culdesac. They are both "getting it" this Spring. Think the boy although pretty little is ready for pedals (as he is now doing one handed stand up balance biking).

Not a ton of personal riding although with trees awake and inappropriately hot temps shit will be online now. Moved an entire shitload of dirt this week with @jackalope

further on you get to zig zag back and forth for maybe a quarter mile on them while trying to not fall off into poison ivy.

Spring has definitely sprung around here. Have seen a bunch of the above mentioned fiddlesticks, so I may need to find out how to cook them.
