It was on TRL or something.

All I have heard from their new song is the chorus that they play non-stop all over the place. If it is like Hello Nasty the worst songs will be the ones that get the most radio play.

That is the only song on the cd that sounds like that typ of song...eh...you're the one missing out...the rest of the cd kicks ass...back to the sound of the pb days.

I haven't had a record player since 95-96.

What I miss playing:

Das Damen:The Marshmellow Conspiracy, Jupiter Eye, Triskaidekaphobe(sp)
Minutemen: Three Way Tie for Last
Husker Du: Zen Arcade
Seven Inch Wonders of the World compilation.

Various REM, Replacements, Misfits bootlegs.

i still need to get _double nickels_ on vinyl...the cd cut out a few of the songs as they wouldn't fit.

was the marshmallow conspiracy lp the one on pink vinyl w/ the michael jackson thing?

btw, they still press good-sounding vinyl; plenty of 180-220g pressings out there if you want to search and pay the $. for me, the convenience of cds far outweighs any perceived sound difference, but the aesthetics of a 12" record are still ace, and i do buy vinyl still (and the rotel/sumiko combo sounds good too).

I think the only thing on double nickles that is on the vinyl and not on the record is the van halen cover.

Marshmellow Conspiracy was the pink vinyl w/magical mystery tour/ political song for michael jackson to sell.

Unfortunately, I think most of the records I have are now a puddle of wax in a chest in the parents storage in NC.

CD's are more convenient for me, and the sound quality of the bootlegs I had ranged from good(REM, Husker Du) to piss poor (Misfits, Replacements). If I ever have a proper stereo again I might pick up the higher quality vinyl pressings.

You can't beat Vinyl...I have about 200 house records and about 300 Chillout/experimental records...

I use CD's a lot though when I spin ambient...there is so much that dosen't come out on 12"...

What are everyones Fav online record shops?

www.metroDJs.com (for Techno and some House, really good trance as well)
www.tunes.co.uk (chillout and house)
www.turntablelab.com (underground hip hop, house, chillout)
www.gemm.com (for the long out of print and hard to find stuff...)
