Front Range, dude...
Over the years...

1. Schwinn Stingray, handed down from older bro...didnt everyone have one?
2. Schwinn 5 speed road thing. What did they call those tanks? Like a Varsity, but only 5 gears. (My dad said who need more more than 5 gears? If he could only see me now...)
3. Peugot Course, first real roadie.
4. Nishiki something or another MTB
5. Basso Paris-Roubaix (sp?) sweet roadie, went from Shimano 600 to full Dura Ace. (Sold a few years later to pay off shop bill. By then, all mtb all the time.)
6. Diamond Back Ascent EX
7. Haro Extreme
8. Fuji Pro road. Sold cuz I never rode it.

Current stable...
9. Jamis Dragon...kinda dead now. Trying to decide whether or not to recusitate.
10. Kona Unit
11. Trek 8000
12. Specialized M4

Gotta sell something...make room for a full sus xc/all mountain rig. Blur LT...:weee:

Now I just need the time to ride...

We should re-visit the shoe thread.
I get bored, sorry. :D

I also tend to go through a cycle. Buy a big bike, end up not riding it as often as I should, sell it to build a logical bike, miss the big bike, and repeat.

I wouldn't be selling my current bike, but I offered to "sponsor" a friend to race this year. I am building the RM7 to be his race bike that I will keep at my house to ride when not being raced. I love the SS and I will likely build something to replace it if he takes the RM7 at the end of the season.

<edit> I also build them on the cheap. My race bike this year will total $1100 to build, but here are the specs:

03 GT DHi with iDrive MRP guide
02 Monster T
08 Hayes Stroker Ryde V8 discs
07 Sram X0 shifter
07 Sram X9 rear dérailleur
Truvativ Hussefelt cranks w/ Howitzer bb
WTB Speed Disc hoops on Formula hubs 12mmx150mm rear/20mm front

Everything I have picked up on clearance or as take offs except the frame/fork/cranks. I started with nothing and to have as sweet a ride as this for what I spent is a whole new level in cheap bastard builds. It's awesome.

<edit2> I only have the SS right now, but the DHi will be done this weekend and the RM7 will be finished in a month. I have never owned more the 2 bikes at any one time.

I'm sure everyone is off + or - 1 to 3 years on a bike or two. I wouldn't sign a sworn statement for mine either.

 What are you talking about?
I got my RM7 this month. The model year is an 03, but I got it in 08. Listed in order that I got them, not by model year.

<edit> I have no idea what model year of most of my bikes are. My R&R was a '77 or something, but I didn't get it until much later.

Ewwww.... I have one of those. I do not like it at all.
I have had poor experience with some of their bikes and Haro the company. In their defense it's because they wanted to become a big company and took away territory from my little shop for a Nestor's and wouldn't give me back territory a small bike shop had near Bikeline. What I didn't understand was my prices were higher too so why would these larger shops feal threatened- but real riders came to me. Big business runs the world, even the bike world in many cases.

my apologies for the drailment:)

I've never had to deal with Haro the company, but my sole experience with Haro the bike is not a good one. It has no tire clearance, the geo is way off, it's heavy, the rear triangle is flexy, the cable routing sucks, on and on.
