F.Y.I. be sure to take a bunch of happy pills before he pulls that pin out. My doc took a pin out of my foot w/ pliers and I wanted to shove the pliers up his ASS.
I didn't take any pain meds before and it took a LONG time till they kicked in after..
No, I broke mine on both sides of the wrist including the scaphoid bone. So it was 3 months in a cast for me, and it was super weak once I got out.
Butch had to have metal put in his, and his recovery time was not as long as mine. Both our wrist are fine now, but they get sore from time to time. I think Butch's wrist got a lot of "therapy" while his wife was pregnant.

Nah, actually, since mine was in a cast, I was lifting weights one week into wearing my cast. One week after getting my cast off I was able to bench press 70 pound dumbbells but my wrist bone doesn't hurt. What hurts like hell is where they had to go into my wrist to put the screw in...the damage to my ligaments and the joint capsule hurts more than the dull ache in the bone.
Mine has a really cool, majorly hollow compressing screw with graduated fins on it to impect bone together...you can see the hollow part on my X-Ray.
But I gotta stop right there and say that JeremyR is being SUPER MODEST!!! He has the most sickening injury story of all. Broke his leg and the leg bone broke the skin and stuck into his other leg.
THEN>>>>>>> to ad insult to injury, they put a rod in his leg...crooked. So they PULLED IT BACK OUT a few days or weeks later. Just to hear him describe the agony is sickening.
