This is where we start reminiscing about Giant ATX 9x0 series, and Specialized FSR bikes, both running a 4" long travel linkage... Marzocchi Z1, or RST Mozo if you were poor, for a 4" long travel fork (too long for a hardtail)
Ahh, those were the days, budget DH in Australia.

And, can't help but post this bike...

97 gt lts DH, incredible. I wanted (still want, rather) a 96 era DH frame. Stupid light, titanium links, and 5 inches of super high qual rocksux suspension. Simply amazing.

let's see here...

i can remember wanted a giant Axt 990 with the long travel kit so bad. That with a z1 fork was my dreambike for a while. I always loved the straight six, but I don't consider it outdated. GT RTS, there was a cooker. I think the san andreas qualifies but isn't completely out of the running yet. Oh man, I love the good old days....FOES LTS/Weasel....with the kuster shock...the kestrel RUbicon DH with two shocks...OMFG....

I dream of owning an STS LTS, has to be the sexiest curves on a bike, it's pure art... I'd hang it on my wall and stare at it for hours

had one, didn't ride as well as it looked. Mine was a 98, the year with the carbon wrap headtube, and the last year for the LTS design, IIRC

Ooh, Ooh, I had that same Outland with a Hannebrink. Man that was the sh!t. I remember how much better that was than the 3" AMP with a Mag21 I rode in DH before.

that storm one is kinda cool desing, whats worng with that old tomac?
Yeah, that was a cool bike. Still a competitive frame in terms of travel, quality and design, though a bit old.

Is that a pic of an M3 proto above me? Why?

As my buddy James said "Its great when you're coasting" The 204 had brake jack and bobbed more than a Thai hooker. It was so cool back in the day though, the construction was beauitiful

no, hes showing us a goofy very very early prototype of an Intense VPP design

bingo. not clever enough to show the relationship. the m3 is a new bike. but that thing is ugly and even though it's not a a tioga disk (not disk brakes) wheel or that really chunky trek or a triple crown 4inch fork, it's still fun to look at.

i believe that dorado is pre-production too.

Was it the Outlander? I saw one for sale on Pinkbike a few weeks ago and thought it would be the coolest antique-trailesque bike to have, unfortunately I dont have the money. (It would match my 04 V-10 or kinda have a cool thing goin with it I guess)
