That era of XTR was my favorite crank. Only XTR anything I ever used, but I scavenged a bunch of sets cheap at the San Diego swap meet where pros sold off their sponsored stuff...

I always liked the look of those XT cranks. Had a set myself. The frame somehow reminds me of a Specy Hardrock or a Kona though.
And in retrospect, yes, but also vice-versa...AFAIK the Pitboss was one of the earlier burly/freeride/whatever hardtails out there and many frames of other makes followed on. It most looks like a Cove to me, with the big squared RAD headtube junction...

Ibis bow ti.

Still love strangeness of it.
Same. Saw one in the wild once. I had just eaten shit on a steep wet rocky Rooty section when some dude just hauled ass through the section on one. As a noob on a bike with geometry better suited for an ejection seat and an elastomer fork I assumed it was all because of that bike.

I would love a size 18” Ti Fat Chance someday for cruising around/gravel-ish rides.
I work on one. It is a harsh ride. Very unforgiving. The RS SID TI fork is still running well. Nobody could have predicted that. We call it the Mullet as it is party in the front and business out back.

In the cleavage of the Tetons
FUNK actually made a short travel version of the Bow Tie, designed for La Ruta De Los Conquistadores race in Costa Rica. I would totally rock one of those, I wanted a FUNK elevated chainstay number so bad in the early ‘90’s.

Front Range, dude...
Haro Extreme...I had one, thought it was the coolest thing ever. Done up w/ XT drivetrain, Cooks cranks, American Classic hubs on ACS rims, Anzas and Hyperlite bars...spent way too much $$ trying to make it cool, all it was was really, really heavy...
