I'm a little surprised at my latest results.

Makes me seem like a pretty avowed libertarian...

i've taken this a handful of times over the past few years and it's really interesting to see how my opinions have evolved. i've become slightly more conservative about the economy lately.

Boy there were some loaded statements:

A same sex couple in a stable, loving relationship, should not be excluded from the possibility of child adoption.

The businessperson and the manufacturer are more important than the writer and the artist.

Abortion, when the woman's life is not threatened, should always be illegal.

Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races.

That's the point, they have the loaded statements, then you either agree or disagree with them. It isn't a perfect test.

If I had to define centrist using the test, I would probably do something like this. I've noticed consistent down and to the left bias.

some of the questions made you either extremely left or right by your answer, no middle ground.
From their FAQ

Most of them are slanted ! Some right-wingers accuse us of a leftward slant. Some left-wingers accuse us of a rightward slant. But it's important to realise that this isn't a survey, and these aren't questions. They're propositions - an altogether different proposition. To question the logic of individual ones that irritate you is to miss the point. Some propositions are extreme, and some are more moderate. That's how we can show you whether you lean towards extremism or moderation on the Compass.

Some of the propositions are intentionally vague. Their purpose is to trigger buzzwords in the mind of the user, measuring feelings and prejudices rather than detailed opinions on policy.
and there is a pretty consistent down and left bias

Hey, I moved a little...

Did you notice that you're both lower and further to the left than Barack Obama?

Manimal is a bigger Commie that Barack!

I can't help but to think some of his statements reactions from being near that stinking hippie hole of Asheville. It is the only place I have seen restaraunts let filthy street kids bus tables for the uneaten food. I think it is great that they don't let the food go to waste but I prefer my restaurant workers to have been showered within the last month and preferably not be on meth.

Is it me or do all the questions in the "test" sound like they're slanted to the left?

Not really, they don't seem loaded. They are pretty limiting in some respects. In that i would consider answering differently if there were circumstances explained that justified a change. There are quite a few questions i could see myself retracting, while there are an equal amount i chose without much contemplation.

If you are to argue anything would it not be the grid?

anyways i don;t think i;ve moved much since the last one which i find interesting as i feel i'm in a relatively different place.
