A buddy of mine might want to buy my xc bike-how much do you think i can get for it? all the parts you see are noticable, except it has XTR V-Brakes, XT e-type front derailer, lx shifter. 9mm specialized hub, shimano rear, with 221 rims.

yeah, i'd say my estimate is about right then. i just bought a friend's '02 enduro w/ an '04 fox talas and chris king rear wheel for $1050.

When selling a bike to a freind it's always better to find a ballpark figure by referencing similiar bikes on ebay or local classifieds or even on here. Then go with the lowball figure. Remember your buddy is giving you a deal as well by buying it and saving you the headache of dealing with a stranger and all the problems of selling a bike.
i really cannot see you being able to sell that bike for 800 bucks anyways. unless you're real patient and you get lucky....

Depends on how good of a buddy. For a good friend who I ride with a lot, I'd go like 500 or 600 tops.
