Well i heard about this fork today at my lbs, and it really looks nice, and that they didn;t spare a dime to make it something special.

“The Athena represents an Olympic gold medal tradition,” added product manager Jeremiah Boobar. RockShox suspension has won gold medals in both the 1996 and 2000 Olympics.


SRAM will also provide athletes gold-finished X.0 Twist Shifters, PG-990 cassettes and PC-990 HollowPin chains. SRAM’s drivetrain product manager Ron Ritzler added, “these shifters, chains, and cassettes are a reward to those riders chosen to represent their respective countries, as well as our components, on the world’s greatest competitive stage.”

They even put SID letters on it, in Greek style.

lol i am with ya.. everything for the bling factor.

Howell it think it should be good mix of parts. So don;t over do it with those Bling bling gold coloured parts.

Marzocchi also did a very nice job, building there Olympic fork.

Only the colour has my dislike. But then it;s girls only.
