Joelsman, the main builder of the snake, posted those directions.
As far as I know, he is happy with people riding the trail. The climb to it is a grind, about hour climb, and quite a bit steeper than the Fromme or Woodlot climbs. The snake is steep steep, Cypress style, and humbles alot of riders. Quite a few people walk/ride it once, and never come back. It's is definitely the burliest trail in Bham.

I talked to him a couple weeks ago, and he had just gotten back from riding it. He had all the downed trees cut out, and said it's not too wet.

The builders of the other trail mentioned, specifically DO NOT want directions or even general location available on the internet. Please respect their wishes.

it's still around and mostly clear as of last week, all the stunt areas are fine, snake is usually fine to ride after 2 nicer days.

the snow level this morning was right about the top, so it might be a little slick up top and on the rocks with the frost.

www.dropnzone.com also has a video, though older.

people are free to ride the snake but please only take good riders, the trail is steep and difficult. It is also not built as well as trails on the shore and can't handle poor riding. most people hate all the hike-a-bikes too much to ride there.

Even with good directions it can still be really confusing up there. Your best bet is to hook up with some locals and have them show you. Once you've been there its much easier to find it again.
