If you have anything worst posting relating to skiing/snowboarding post it here. From picts to videos to the big dump of the night (hey I can wish it right?) post it all here.

I don't know if this thread will find its way to "nobody looks at it" land quickly but I'm bored and don't want to study for finals.

ill give you a big dump... all over this crappy thread. skiing powder sucks, its too easy and doesn't hurt enough when you fall. ill take icy 8am spring break bumps over powder any day. and besides, its easy to find and you don't have to wait in huge lines to ski ice. and it gets you in better shape for dh, which is what everyone likes... right?

I agree! Everyone should stick to the icy groomers. They're much more fun than the powder-filled trees.

dh? What's dh?

I'd be up for something like that. Just got a park board so it'll be interesting to see how much I suck at park. :p How about getting a Ridemonkey Keystone Day going soon or something like that? Say....the 11th or something?

Nope, I dont get it at all.

Yep, I've had my license for a good 2 months now, and surprisingly haven't gotten pulled over at all yet. The first month was mostly just getting used to stick enough to where I don't crash, now unfortunately I have to say I'm starting to fill that stereotype of being a bit speedy.

MB-I want to shoot park but I think B will agree that we're much more than just park skiers. We love to ski the whole mountain. Versitility is what we pride ourselves on...use it.

Bumps-Park-Pow-Trees-Steeps-Aussy Challenge...we'll ski it ALL...

Just to show how conceeded I am I think a documentery style film on the few of us on the front range who do it all and are trying to come up in these sports would be sweet. With all the BS that gets on TV now adays I think this would be a viable TV show even (not that what I want to make will ever make it on TV)

Ski porn rules, Bike porn is sweet too but they really lack the personal element that I (amongst others) are just waiting to see....so I say **** em, I want to make this movie for me. I want to document this.

Whos with me?

conceitet=conceeded when your Jeff

Yeah, I was down there just this last weekend. Yes, it is 100% open, and yes it is awesome. They have tons of snow! Mmmmmmm fresh pow.....

I'd wait for another storm as the one that hit last week is pretty much all tracked out now. Albeit you can probably find some stashes, but you don't want to drive 4-5 hours for some stashes.

eeeh.. Its hard to say. On a good day I would say its worth a drive from Boulder. Its a long haul but on a good day the skiing can be really really good. Theres not a ton of terrrain so dont go there expecting that. Its relatively steep up top with alot of traversing trails. I normally stick to heading straight down the mountain through the trees where there will almost allways be knee deep or more powder to be found and occasionally some sick steeps.
Jeff IM me and ill give you all my good spots to hit up. Im not going to tell everyone.
Wolf Creek is sick. I say If youve got a long weekend hit up Crested Butte, Telluride, then over to Silverton, and finish it off with a college day at wolf creek on a Sunday. Oh yea I almost forgot the best part about Wolf Creek. About once a month or sometimes more there are college days on sunday where college kids ski for 21 bucks all day. And Wednesdays are locals appreciation days (I think almost anyone is considered a local on Wednesday) where everyone skis for 21 bucks. DAMN I want to be in Colorado right now!

Mary Jane was sick Saturday Jeff. Drunken Dancer trees were still almost untracked and there wasn't a rock to be found in the bumps.

my pops was there...he told me how sick it was...oh well. I needed a break from Mary Jane...

Right?

I guess you don't know what you have till it's gone. I mean I still consider Mary and I to be married, we're just taking a break from each other...she really handed it to me last year if you know what I mean.

I was at Copper on Friday and Sat and it was rad. Fresh snow on Friday then on Saturday they opened the A lift so it was fresh all the way down. I was skiing waist deep most of the day. I'm going to Silverton a month from today, anyone gonna be down there?

Oh, by the way, if any of you have snowmos, you should check out Buffalo Pass. It's literally 1-2 miles (as the bird flys) north of Steamboat ski area and it gets on the average 4 times more snow than the ski area. 600"/year is par. The longest pitch has 1200 vert at 30 degrees which is a good few turns. It's ranked as the second most snowiest area in CO, I think behind Wolf Creek area.

Rumors has it we're calling 12" I personally don't belive it, but...check the mountain cam in the morning. You can also call 970-879-7300 for the snow report at 5:00am. It won't get you up here in time for rope drop, but will still give a nice long day if you take off from D really fast. Just becareful over Rabbit Ears Pass. I'd recommend you bring chains just in case...
