.......if they hadnt been yelling everything in spanish. Protesting in spanish does not get your point across very well to a primarily monolingual country and maybe try writing the picket signs in english as well so i dont have to get out my translation dictionary to figure out what the hell it says. Oh and maybe dont protest down the road carrying flags of your home country while trying to gain citizenship in another.

no i am not bigoted and i am not racist but for god sake, if they want to win over supporters then they should at least say it so their potential supporters can understand what they are trying to say!!!most people that do not want them here site their lack of care for learning the english language as one of the main friggin reasons. i am not saying i have any issue with them being here or i think the country will fall apart but they might as well have been trying to get their damn point across in swahili so why dont you settle down with the flaming name calling and stop jumping to conclusion about a person and their friggin moral upsanding.

good point about learning the language or go home. i was planning on shipping both my grandmothers back to china because they couldn't learn english.

And here I was thinking that the US doesn't have an official language...

I also remember reading somewhere that if the current trends continue then more people will speak Spanish as their mother tongue than English by around 2010.

Best start practising that Espanol if you wanna keep your $4/hour job.

i am just making a point that it would have been more effective had they tried to communicate in english. As for us becoming a spanish speaking country I for some reason dont think that will ever happen.I may be wrong but most people here have enough trouble speaking english much less learning spanish.

In another thread you were commenting on how illegals got free healthcare and you couldn't. They don't have illegal immigrant tattoos or ID cards. If you think they get free healthcare next time you go into the Dr just give them a made up name and show no ID and see what happens.

i was referring to emergency room visits. And i might add it is true. my mother was an RN in the ER for quite some time and saw it happen all the time.

They just don't give people crap for free, now if you don't have an address or job where you can be tracked down at it makes enforcing the bill impossible. Unfortunately I have a deadbeat sister that has pulled this off.
