Tamales Juanita hit the spot. She and her husband sell out of a mini van in a mercado parking lot. $2.00/ tamale
We don't have trucks here, but we do have stagecoaches.

I was impressed with how many I saw when visiting the fam in Spokane a couple years back.
Sadly, nobody else wanted to eat at any of them.
I don't understand how they are related to me.
A little pricier that they used to be ($9.00) but they are incredible and massive.

The local taqueria in our part of suburbia is $1.50/per for the "regular" tacos and $2/per for the "fancy" tacos. Sadly, they don't offer either fish or shrimp tacos.
I should really suggest that they start doing fish & shrimp. I love seafood tacos.

About half my local places have no seafood variations. When we moved here fifteen years ago, they were even harder to find. I asked one place once why no one was doing them.
Their response was that not a many of the local immigrants who owned/ran places came from coastal areas.
No idea if true or not, but it made sense at the time.
No chicarrones no care @SkaredShtles you will have to request some more fancy tacos. Those prices are fair considering the great taco price hike of 2020.

Besides that - the standards are Tamales Express on 4th ave and MLK, Salsitas on Fair Ave, Don Chayo over by the airport, Primos los Dos on 1st street.
