He effectivly gave the Colorado governorship to the democrats last election cycle by running as the third party candidate for the "American Constitution Party", best known for its dual platforms of all guns/no mexicans.
Sure, but the way the election was covered it was hard to remember Hickenlooper was even running. It seemed like it was mostly a cat fight between Maes and Tancredo. Many LULZ were had.
Ok, random thought.... There's a 3rd party out there looking to ensure a spot on all 50 state ballots for Nov, 2012, and they're committed to picking their candidate via an online vote. So, what I'm wondering is, can people nominate/vote for a candidate even though he/she doesn't give consent to be on the ballot?
So let's say that Romney wins the nomination, can we get, say, Sarah Palin on the ballot through Americans Elect? Even if she doesn't campaign, even if she doesn't *want* to be on the ballot, her being on the ballot would draw off at minimum 5-7% of the Republican vote, assuring that Obama would win.
Hmmmmmmmm. Now I'm thinking of legally changing my name to Sarah Palin and seeing if I can get on the ballot here in WI.
