*Yes, I know not in the South or the USA, this is the only World Cup race in North America, worth the trip to see the world elite race and talk with them, along with maybe seeing a moose, a mountie, having a beer with the Mckenzine brothers.
**Yes, I know not even in the USA, good to watch on the Redbull channel.

I am working through the new website, but in the mean time here's the schedules for the East Coast mixed in with the other stuff, same thing I posted above but more organized. If I missed something or if you want me to add something, just let me know.

Evidently not. If you go to the gojam link Beech is at the bottom of the list with a TBD next to it.

On very good authority, they are very very close. :) This was one of the reasons for me putting the schedule together in an organized manner.

russselll, they've got tentative dates that have not been published yet.

TMI, but about a month ago, Talia asked me if I could provide some insight on available dates to prevent any race overlap, as she new we (GoJaMMedia) were compiling a comprehensive regional schedule. I emailed her back with my suggestions/dates for the months she wanted to hold an event to make sure there was no conflict. About a week ago or so, I followed up and she mentioned she was caught up in winter stuff and hadn't found the time to focus on Summer planning. Those dates aren't really for me to release, but I'll mention this.... starting in June there will be one per month through Sept (not sure if they've decided on 3 or 4 races yet). I know that doesn't answer your question directly, but I hope it does help, somewhat. Stay tuned, I can't imagine it will be much longer.

The Pisgah Enduro is Sycamore Cycles. They released a sequence of Strava segments to be completed within a certain time frame last year. I think they did 2 different challenges, each with 3 descents to be completed in 1 day.
You could check out a GPS from the shop if you didn't have a phone/Garmin.

Check with Wes or Dan Ennis.

I haven't been before.... by the sound of your post, you think it would be hard event to photograph?

If I'm not mistaken, last year folks had like a month to complete the segments (in fact, I don't even know if they were required to do them all on the same day), in which case, there's no reason to camp out and wait for a potential Enduro racer (unless it's me of course). But if it was formally scheduled to happen all on one day, then it might be cool to shoot some cool sections and move around to check out the different segments.

The only requirement of the Enduro was that the segments for a particular one were to be completed on that day. You could go to Pisgah any day within the month they were holding the challenge.

Example: The first one was 3 segments at the horse stables. Segment 1 went Left on Black Mtn. and down, then climb back up to segments 2 and 3, which were both right on Black. Dan said the hardest part was making all of them accessible only by climb, so that people weren't shuttling.

I have learned through a thorough social media investigation that a promoter is gathering info for a legit Pisgah Enduro.

Am I the only person that doesn't want Enduro racing? I either want to trail ride in peace on my small bike...or rip up heaven and earth on my big bike.

At this point I'd much rather ride my DH bike for fun and race my trail bike on a challenging course. I ride the trail bike so much more and as a result I'm more proficient on it. That's my personal preference anyhow.

What Raney said. Just think of Enduro as where old DH guys go to die. They even have a crematorium at the finish line.

I will be honest, the main reason I want it to take off is so that I can have a whole season of racing around here without having to travel all over the place leaving my family and wasting money. You combine Beech Mtn races and other local DH races with Super D races and Enduro races and with a Snowshoe race thrown in, I will be all smiles. Plus, the thought of going to Pisgah to race down a bunch of my favorite trails on my favorite bike to ride is not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

And don't forget about the crematorium. It's a useful feature if you're Captain DFL like myself.

Had a lot of fun at the Paris Mt. enduro last year and would love it if there were more.
