My ride was a 1983 Schwinn Super Sport. Not the Paramount that I wanted but it had the same effect on me. Luckily I was the shop monkey, that's how I saved my money to by the bike. I still have it, it's seen some miles and been through some parts (even a short stint in Boston as a single speed) I ride it all the time. My 3 year old Scott gets the lion's share, though.

I still haven't found a reason to upgrade my 1995 MB-1, without that foolish Alsop stem there is no better singletrack slayer out their.
Got to love the steel.
