i went to harvard with Thadorama, Quadari, and WTGPhoben. we used to go on night rides down into downtown boston. nowadays i barely even ride.

i was a child prodigy, and twice turned down the opportunity to go to the university of washington at 12 and 13. now i find myself going there after all, but for medical school. i'm halfway through my third year, and i want to be a radiologist.

for this whole year i pick up my junk and move every six weeks for clinical rotations. since july '06 i've spent 6 weeks each in fairbanks, alaska; pocatello, idaho; seattle; and pocatello again until xmas break. i'll head out to boise, idaho and jackson, wyoming before next summer rolls around.

i've played trumpet for some years now, and with many groups. currently i am not in any groups for the first time in my life, because of that whole move-every-6-weeks deal. the obsessive energy usually directed towards music now motivates me in hunting down a replacement car for my wrx, the buying of which was in retrospect probably the worst financial decision i've made in my life so far .

I am an Engineering Technician in the oil & gas industry, which means I get to blow **** up, and work with a lot of new technology that normally I wouldn't in most other jobs.

I got into mountain biking by getting in trouble with the law. I got a DUI in 1999, right after my first divorce, then a second one on what would have been our wedding anniversary, while still on probation for the first one. I luckily didn't get sent up for 5 to 10 and was put on 5 years probation. I had no license, so I had to ride a bike everywhere. And not just any bike, but a wal-mart NEXT bike, started riding everywhere I could after I got my license back, and been here ever since.

I've known Partsbara for almost 20 years. I got to know him when we went to the north-west of Western Australia to visit a traditional Aboriginal community while at uni. Partsbara got me into mtbiking.

I've lived in Japan for 10 years and am a permanent resident. My wife is Japanese and my 2 boys are dual citizens. They can understand English quite well, but can't speak it so well yet. We have our own house. I have my own English school and I work about 25 hours a week.

I have an old Specialized that I ride as often as possible, a DH bike in pieces and an old gary Fisher frame that I was building up. That's on hold as funds designated for that are being directed towards taking my son with me when I head back home to Australia next month for a couple of weeks. Airfares are expensive.

Grew up terrorizing a rural small farming town in NorCal. Spent my entire high school career playing baseball and wishing I could leave and then spent years after that trying to figure out how to move back.

Joined the Corps my senior year in high school and didn't regret it one bit. I was kinda spoiled so joining was good for me.

Been to Whistler, Okinawa (3rd Mar Div), North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, S and N Dakota, Illinois, Wisconsin and several other states I really don't feel like naming.

Current job is great (6 years in CA & short stint in NC).....during a 10 hour patrol shift, I get to deal with great citizens, tweekers, crackheads, gangstas, child molesters and shootings. It's fun and wouldn't trade it for anything. The job keeps me busy and I hate it when we are slow. I have great beat partners and great non po po friends.

Current rides are a lifted up Dodge and soon will be (looks like wife's getting her way) an '07 Escalade w/24's, '06 DHR, '06 RFX, '06 Blue RC4 roadie and a TJ Lavin Specialized bmx(collecting alot of dust.)
